#Rain wilds chronicles series
I was never confused because each series contains enough context to stand alone, but it's almost like reading spoilers ahead of time. I still loved all of them, but I would have enjoyed Tawny Man and Liveship more if I didn't already know the ultimate outcomes. It slowly sank in that (and how) the rest were connected, and that made for its own cool experience. I didn't do my research and just assumed each was independent (especially after Soldier Son). I read Soldier Son, then TRWC, then Tawny Man, then Liveship, then Fitz & Fool. I had fallen in love with Robin Hobb after the Farseer trilogy, so I just wanted to read more of her work - I didn't actually realize at first that most of her series were connected. I read things in a weird order based on availability from my library. Robin Hobb (Goodreads Author) 4.55 avg rating 3,189 ratings published 2014 7 editions. The Rain Wilds Chronicles: Dragon Keeper, Dragon Haven, City of Dragons, and Blood of Dragons. Will some things from TRWC be spoiled? Definitely. 1 of 5 stars 2 of 5 stars 3 of 5 stars 4 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars. Will you be confused if you skip TRWC? Probably not.

You understand the backstory, motivations, and perspectives of characters that appear in multiple series and it makes for a richer experience since you understand the history of the world. I think each of the series can stand on its own, but the entire set of series is more coherent if you read it all in order. The banner is an artwork by the great John Howe. Memes and silly posts relating to Hobb's work can be shared at r/forgedones - a subreddit created specifically for that purpose. If you have something to share with the group, please start a discussion about it rather than post it as a meme or image. If you need an alternative to buying, the public library is a good resource that often has ebooks and printed books available for loan. Posts about pirating Hobb's work are prohibited.
